Firesidecharts Lab is a vibrant creative hub founded by Kiggundu. While at his scientific residency in the USA at the Global Brain Health Institute in  California in 2024, Kiggundu identified the need to engage all ages not just young people in creativity as a way of improving brain health and decreasing risk factors to dementia. Uganda's rich indigenous knowledge and culture is eroding due to huge cultural gaps between generations, high rates of isolation among seniors and different structural barriers to creativity. It is through this that he decided to expand the his studio work to connect all ages through art, conversations, and cultural exchanges. At the lab's heart are three key initiatives namely, Kiggundu Art Studio which provides all the creative programming, artistic mentorship and opportunities, Firesidecharts Podcast a platform for authentic conversations and story telling, and the Elders Creative Circle dedicated to fostering creativity and social engagement for seniors aged 60 and above. By blending creativity, storytelling, and heritage preservation, the lab aims at fostering social engagement and creative collaboration across generations through its tiered membership packages: Platinum, Gold, and Silver.
